MARIA BIANCO PHOTOGRAPHY

Flora + Fauna by Maria Bianco examines the earth's natural environments through a collection of images captured in a myriad of locations. From flamingos grooming after rains at the LA Zoo and cows grazing under Spanish moss in Florida, to the gnarled driftwood of Vancouver and the desert lichen of Arizona, Maria has created a collection of images that inspire natural wonder and embrace the calming aspects of nature. The images also serve as a reminder of the earth's delicate yet resilient ecosystems.

In Roman mythology, Flora was a goddess of flowers and the season of spring and Fauna was the sister of Faunus, a good spirit of the forest and plains. To further engage in those good spirits and celebrate each species’ connection to one another and the environment, Maria will donate 10% of print sales from this collection of images to the Nature Conservancy and Fauna and Flora International.

Her images have appeared in Conde Nast, Style.com/Vogue Magazine, GQ Magazine.com, ChicagoMagazine.com, and Apartment Therapy.
